How the Wenatchee Residents Directory Works

The City Clerk manages legislative activities prescribed by state law. The Clerk is responsible for managing official city records, receiving claims, and processing public records requests, while also serving as the City Council liaison. Tammy L. McCord is the current City Clerk. Phone is (509) 888-3604. Email is cityclerk@wenatcheewa.gov. The office is at City Hall, 301 Yakima Street, Wenatchee, WA 98801. Mailing address is PO Box 519, Wenatchee, WA 98807.

Under the Washington Public Records Act, RCW 42.56, the city must respond within five business days. The response can be the record itself, a time estimate, a clarification request, or a denial with a statutory citation. RCW 42.56.520 sets that clock. RCW 42.56.070 requires identifiable, non-exempt records to be made available to the public.

Start at the Wenatchee City Clerk page for the online records portal and contact details.

The image below shows the state Odyssey Portal, which is a good tool for court records when you need statewide coverage alongside city records.

The Odyssey Portal covers Superior, District, and Municipal courts for most Washington counties.

Wenatchee Residents Directory General Requests

General public records requests in Wenatchee go through an online portal. Common items include building permits, planning records, contracts, and other city files. You can also submit a request on the city's General Public Records Request form (PDF) by mail or email to the City Clerk at the City Hall address. Do not use the general portal to request police records. Police requests have their own form.

Fees follow Wenatchee City Code 1.99.070. The city may require a deposit not to exceed 10 percent of the estimated fee. Advance payment may be required. The Public Records Officer may waive fees when the total estimated fee is $5.00 or less. Copy rates follow the state default schedule under RCW 42.56.120. The Chief of Police or designee may waive any body-worn camera fee that is $2.00 or less.

Wenatchee Police Records

For police records, complete the Wenatchee Police Department Public Records Request Form (PDF) or the Accident/Collision Report Request Form (PDF). The collision report fee is $10.00. Submit requests to Wenatchee Police Department, Attn: Records, 140 South Mission, P.O. Box 519, Wenatchee, WA 98807-0519. Email is wpdrecords@wenatcheewa.gov. Phone is (509) 888-4200. Fax is (509) 888-4219. The Records Bureau is part of the main police department line.

For statewide conviction records, use the Washington State Patrol WATCH system. WATCH runs name-based searches and returns felony and misdemeanor convictions from Washington courts. It does not cover other states or federal courts. RCW 10.97 limits the release of non-conviction data, so some police records will be redacted or withheld.
